If you need a geometry node modifier to make freehand effect like Walt Disney or like my intro of the video tutorial. Get this file, made in Blender 4.0.2.
In the content you will find the blend file with the setup of the animation of the video tutorial with also the obvious geometry nodes setup called Freehand that you can append on whatever project you want.
Features:
In addiction to this attributes you can change the radius of each control point of the curves to get more precise ink effect or other material effect like cream, welds etc.
- Use Collection: If you want to apply the freehand animation on a group of curves (the sequence of the animation will follow the order of the curves in the collection by their name)
- Collection: to use with the check Use Collection
- Res. length: The resolution of the making from curve to mesh from the selected profile
- Animation: The core attribute to animate like your hand the curves from the first to the last
- Smoothness: Increase or decrease the initial and final tips of the curves to better simulat ink or other materials
- Profile: The profile used to make the mesh from the curves
- Scale: Leaving the scale of the profile you can tweak the entire scale of the profile before making the mesh from the curves
- Material: Material to assign to your mesh
