Learn the basic idea of adaptive subdivision drawing curves on surface. Made in Blender 3.6.0 but with an update for Blender 4.0 that uses the Repeat Zone instead of duplication of the level group node.

Download the version for Blender 3 or 4 and also watch the second video tutorial after this below!

If you have any issues please comment on my YouTube channel or join on my Discord server (link in all my video tutorial description). This to avoid bad reviews caused by simple misunderstanding about the using of the content or because the Blender's team sometime changes the core code between versions of Blender breaking some geometry nodes setup badly.

Features:

  • Up to 6 levels of subdivision for Blender v. 3 and UNLIMITED LEVELS for Blender v. 4
  • Threshold to start the subdivision
  • Distribution parameter to manage the spread of the levels
  • Offset curves from the normal of the mesh
  • Compression & extension of the mesh based by the offset of the curves with linear or powered shape
